Rick Shane has been in the hair and fashion industry for almost 30 years and a salon owner for the past 20 years. Certified in Maryland, Washington DC, and New York. Specializing in all phases of precision and free form cutting as well as being regarded as a top colorist and educator.
I am excited to be back working! After 25 years of Salon ownership, and a brief retirement/sabbatical, I am back as a freelance stylist doing what I love.

Your First Salon Appointment
When scheduling a first-time appointment please call or text me directly and provide your name, phone number, and what service you would like to have and I will contact you soon to begin your consultation.
Here’s what I will ask:
- Hair length – short/medium or long
- Thickness – Fine/ medium or thick
- Texture – Straight/wavy/ curly or combo
- Do you blow-dry on a regular basis?
- Do you use flat irons or curling irons?
- How often do you need to shampoo?
- Are you currently coloring your hair? If so single process? Highlights? Both?
- Are you coloring to lighten/ darken or blend gray?
